Registration form

This 57.4 non-motorized bicycle ride event will begin at 8:30 AM in Titusville in the parking area of the Drake Mall (corner of South Martin Street and Water Street), and end in Foxburg, PA. The route is mainly on dedicated bike trails, with several share-the-road segments. (approximately 10miles total).
The event is a limited supported event offering shuttle service from Foxburg to Titusville Friday, September 5 evening for people only, and the morning of September 6, 2015 participants and bicycles.
Those wishing to stay in Titusville the evening of September 5 may want to check into their overnight accommodation, leave their bike in their room, drive to Foxburg, park at the AC Valley Medical Center (855 State Route 58, Foxburg) and catch the shuttle back to Titusville. There will be limited shuttle for bikes to Titusville on Friday. The Friday shuttle is scheduled to leave Foxburg around 4:00 P.M.
Those wishing to catch the shuttle on Saturday, September 6 should park at the AC Valley School, and be ready to have bike loaded, and aboard the shuttle by 6:45 A.M. Shuttle is scheduled to leave at 7:00 A.M. for the approximate one-hour drive to Titusville.
At the end of the ride, participants will need to leave their bikes on Main Street, and shuttles will be available from 6:00P.M. to 8:00 P.M to take participants to retrieve their vehicles.
Although it is not a requirement the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail Alliance recommends that participants wear a helmet as noted in the waiver that you are required to sign and submit with your registration application and payment.
Participants will absolutely need a very good light source to navigate through the two unlit tunnels on the route.
Mission Statement “The Erie to Pittsburgh Trail Alliance (EPTA) is an active coalition of trail organizations, municipalities and individuals dedicated to the promotion, acquisition, development, and maintenance of a safe non-motorized trails network that connects the “Bayfront” in Erie to the “Point” in Pittsburgh. EPTA will seek to improve the quality of life for communities along the trail network while stimulating economic development and recreational tourism activities.”
Meals and refreshments

  • A Tailgate Breakfast will be provided at no charge to participants in Titusville from 7:30AM to 8:30AM at the beginning of the ride. This will be somewhat on the lines of a continental breakfast.
  • A rest area located at the Venango Museum of Art, Science & Industry at 270 Seneca Street, Oil City will have water and light refreshments available to registered participants. Bathroom facilities available.
  • A pizza lunch will be served at the Franklin Trailhead (just across the Allegheny River from Franklin). Portable bathroom facilities available.
  • A second rest area will be located between Franklin and Emlenton.
  • Dinner is not provided, but is on your own. Some participants will be dining at the
    Allegheny Grille in Foxburg.

In addition, riders if time allows may wish to spend a bit of time in the communities they travel, just checking them out, and remember, Franklin is just across the river from the trail, and is a bronze level Bicycle Friendly Community. Or, participants may want to ride the trail from Foxburg to Parker Landing (3.4-miles) and back.
